~ WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY CHURCH WEBSITE ~
Our church began in August 2009 with just a handful of people looking for something new, relevant, and authentic. We wanted a church that wasn't at all churchy, but at the same time had a deep desire for more of God in our lives. In the last two years, we have had 11 babies born into our church and we are growing (two more on the way)! Our group today has every generation represented on Sundays from great grandparents to little ones.
We named our church, Citywide Harvest, because our families, friends and community in and near Rockwall are the priorities of this ministry. We seek to build strong families, strengthen our friendships, raise up serving leaders, and reach out to hurting and needy of our community. We have the best teaching materials and leaders for our children and youth with great times of fun as well. Small group marriage classes are consistently provided for those looking to revitalize their home life. Bible study is central on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights as we study God's word chapter by chapter, growing our people in their knowledge and passion for Him.
We also regularly participate in communion on Sunday mornings as we remember our Lord's great sacrifice of love and forgiveness for us. In doing so, we are reminded to walk in forgiveness and accept God's work in people right where they are. Our monthly outreach programs aid the needy in our community and include our outreaches to many prisons throughout our region. Our geographical care groups are in homes throughout the month and specialize in divorce recovery to singles to youth and marrieds.
At this time, we are in the process of acquiring a permanent facility for our congregation to facilitate our growth and provide a permanent place for our children. We are a loving, praying community who is excited to meet you! We look forward to visiting with you!
